Brazilian Championship (or loss of time?)

Football: pleasure and painfulness.
Vasco 3x1 Ceará. With this result in the heads, the "vozão" fans (including me) slept in the last day 31.

But what's the point of the fanaticism against a team? Rarely it is for the simpathy of the person. Often it is because of the parents/family influency, at the same way that the religion is adopted. There are too the kinds of fans, that are the ones who cares so much about the team and the ones who simply like it.

So, let's take an really aficionado, that always goes to the stadium when the team is playing home. That person that buys PayPerViews in the television always when they can't see the game or the team is playing outside his/her city. He/she also watch the game with the bar folks, makes bets and have emotion in every minute of the game. Well, he/she is a real sufferer.

Assuming that only one team wins the Brazilian Championship per year, the others stay with a bad feeling (unless they take it easy) and sometimes even suffering with the team, either by losses or by lost positions, that makes the difference in the last days of the tournament. This excluding the lost goals, the goals by the opposite teams, the faults that the team makes, etc.

In synthesis, the principal factor of joy in football - the goal - is almost irrelevant when compared to the factors of sadness and apprehension. As the football is the national mania and the ones that are fans of a team in Brazil are more aficionados than the Americans that are fans of a team of basketball or American football, we still don't have in numbers how many football disrupts people's life, since this kind of research is more commonly made there.

The conclusion of this discussion is inconclusive. I really don't know if football disrupts people's life. And what about you, what do you think?

Steve Jobs: genius and myth

Steve Jobs: genial and revolutionary
(Note: I wrote this article when Steve Jobs was still alive. I didn't make major changes in the text, I just added a line at the end of it).

With the passing of time, who was considered in the 90's the wizard of technology - Bill Gates - has becoming outdated. The most apparent cause of this is that Gates works strongly only in the PCs field, since his presence in the field of smartphones is negligible (compared with Apple's presence). On the other hand, his competitor Steve Jobs has been losing his fame of rebel and gaining prestige on the market, until he came to the position of leader.

With the Macintosh, iPod, iPhone and iPad, along with a universe of apps and the virtual store iTunes, that revolutionized the music industry, Jobs gained respect and admiration around the world. The definitive point for him to surpass Gates was when it literally happened, in the day that Apple surpassed Microsoft in terms of market value.

But the greatest act of Jobs was that, seeing that he was not dominate the PC market, he migrated and invented another markets and led them. Since the iMac is only successful in the US, it definitely isn't the field that Jobs did his best job. The greatest for him was the MP3, smartphones and tablets ones. Thanks for the leading of Apple in these fields, he could surpass his greatest rival.

Bill Gates: image of conservative and outdated
Without a shadow of doubt, Steve Jobs has a big debt with Bill Gates. Nothing of the revolution that he made could be possible if Microsoft didn't have evolved so much in the informatics area. Metaphorically, he gave a technological catapult for Jobs pushed the league and threw the rock so far. But the ex-CEO of Apple doesn't have any interest of repay the debt, since the loss of Microsoft in the fields that he dominates is what does the company be what it is today.

Steve Jobs departed from Apple recently. For not disconnect at all, he got a position in the council of the company. He said in his departure letter that, as he had been saying, if he didn't have conditions to exert the role of CEO of Apple, he will be the first to admit it, and unfortunately this day had come.

For who revolutionized the world, the young death is only a detail, because his name will be eternized. In every time people will know who was Steve Jobs.
